Location : Saint Maixent L’Ecole
In the heart of the Haut Val de Sèvre, the town was founded during the fifth century by the monk Agapit.
Its ancient streets, its old medieval houses, its magnificent abbatial church and its abbey deserve the interest of the visitor.
Homeland of Denfert-Rochereau, the city has a long military history.
Today, its school forms a large part of the non-commissioned officers of the French army.
Connected by the A10 highway (exits 31 and 11) and A83 (exit 11), the railway line (Paris-La Rochelle) and the TGV, Saint Maixent L’Ecole offers numerous opportunities for industry, commerce and crafts.
